Suddenly multiple animations are appearing on one object rather than replacing the animation

Jun 24, 2021

I think I may be going nuts, but all of a sudden instead of replacing an existing animation when I change my mind and select something new Storyline is adding another animation.  I.e. I pick Fly In then decide to do Wipe instead the object is now flying in and Wiping.  Then I have to select None and start again.  If it's a feature then I'm not seeing where you can manage these multiple animations on one object/Group. I'm still on version 3.49.24342.0 but am mid major project so I usually avoid updating mid project.

Anyone else noticing this??

Hi, Heather.

Thank you for sharing what you are experiencing! We have a bug reported where changing Animation holds the Enter from behavior of the last animation.

This happens when you insert an animation that has a default enter value (such as Fly In), followed by one that does not have one (Wipe or Random bars, for example).

I've connected this discussion to the bug report, and I'll be sure to come back to update you when I have some news.

Hello All!

I have great news to share! We are no longer seeing the issue where Changing an Animation holds the 'Enter from' behavior of the last animation.

To make sure your software is up-to-date, please launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and select the Update button next to Storyline 360. I've included our step-by-step instructions here!
