Text entry field resize problem

Nov 09, 2020

Hi all,

As you can see in the picture, I have a problem when I want to create text entry field with dashed lines and with white fill color. It instally change it's shape and I can't put this scrool bar to the end of the shape. It just looks awful.

Any thoughts?
Thank you.

Hello Milan and welcome to E-Learning Heroes 😊

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing in your project file.

Would you be able to share this slide so that I can take a look at how you've set this up? If it's a part of a larger project, you can import it into a new file and attach it to your forum reply.

Dear Leslie,

Thank you very much. In the attachment you can download that interaction where I have to remove headline text because of the client. The point is to actually prevent users to have scrolling bar. So they just have an essay box with a limited number of characters. I don't want scrolling bar.

Thank you very much.

I need it ASAP.

Hi Milan,

Thank you for sharing your test file with us!

After reviewing your file, this does appear to be connected to a similar issue our team is tracking where:

  • Essay question "Maximum number of characters" option does not limit characters.

I am sorry that you are hitting this snag, but I am including this thread for our team to review further. As soon as we have an update to share, we will be sure to reach back out!

Hi, Milan.

I have great news to share!

We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 53, we’ve included important fixes and new features.

One of the fixes we’ve included is:

Essay questions stopped enforcing the maximum number of characters specified by the author.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
