Hi Hoi,

Great question! I understand that you'd like to apply transitions to your course in Storyline. I’m happy to get some information for you about that!

Transitions can be applied to an entire slide or elements within a slide. Here are the steps to do both.

To apply a transition to an entire slide:

  1. In the Slide Layers palette, click the base layer.
  2. Click the Transitions tab.
  3. Click a transition.

To apply a transition to an element in a slide like a textbox or an image:

  1. Click the element you want to add the transition to.
  2. Click the Transitions tab.
  3. Click a transition.

Also, here's an article with a total overview of transitions.

Thanks for reaching out!

Transitions only apply to the entire screen when you move between slides or when you move between layers (as described in the "total overview of transitions" that John linked to).

Animations apply to objects or groups on a slide. Here's the User Guide info about animations: Add Animations in Storyline 360 - E-Learning Heroes (articulate.com)
