Authoring software that's "audio driven" before visual

Jul 25, 2022

Hi, I have audio script written as audio courses, meaning they do not need to have visual content to go along. However, I do want to offer a course that also comes with visual aids. I've only used Storyline before and I find it very cumbersome to cut the audio into many parts and create all the texts and images and then sync their appearances according to progress of the audio clips.

Is there an authoring software that can pick up the audio input (speech to text) such that we can easily configure what appears when?

I have little requirements on the visual part. Maybe just 1 stock image (or none), coupled with texts (which could be part of the narration's script) shown in point forms just like how a powerpoint slide gets presented when the presenter speaks.

If you have Articulate 360, you can use Studio. Create a bunch of empty slides, more than you need.

Import the audio on the first slide and wherever you want the audio to break into a new slide, set a new slide until you're done. You can always fine tune it later.

Now you have slides to go with your audio and you can export the audio as single clips if you want.

Once you have the slides, add whatever content you want and publish the course.
