Code block suggestions
Hi guys,
I was thrilled to see the new Code block in Rise and I can't wait to see it in full motion. I have two suggestions:
1) Please add an ability to unlock Continue button in Rise within the Code block. For example, we can have some interaction embedded in Code block and when we click some button/card/image etc., we can unlock Continue button which is placed right beneath that Code block. You can provide us the code that we need to implement in out interaction, so that we can unlock the button.
2) Please add an ability to import Rive and Lottie files (I'm not talking about iframe or embed code). This will unlock so many possibilities! Those platforms have an ability to export Rive/Lottie files, so that we can import them into our platform and have full control.
Can't wait to see what's coming.

jelvajocic has some good ideas. I personally never lock people out from pressing the continue button - it just is a frustrating experience for the users, and if they don't want to learn, locking them out isn't going to stop them. But I can see a lot of people using that feature.
Being able to use external libraries would be very interesting, but I can see it opening up a whole bunch of security issues. I suspect Articulate would have to verify specific libraries they would want to include rather than letting us use any library we want, and that could be quite the uplift. Rive and Lottie are definitely libraries that would be useful.
My request - would be to allow us to have separate html, css, and javascript files, rather than have everything tucked into one html file. It just becomes a readability nightmare. I'd also like to request support for .json files. This way I can have less technically savy teammates edit content within a JSON file, and not have to wade through a sea of javascript functions and CSS styling.
Overall this is incredible. Thank you for building this feature.

I just started experimenting, but I think you can use separate files if you put them in a zip folder and upload that, no?

While I agree with locking the continue button will frustrate the learner with locked content, some organizations need the content to be a certain length to ensure that certain expectations/training requirements are met. The ability to unlock it when a certain event occurs will be huge. I really hope they implement that.

Just want to chime in to support the request of being able to unlock the continue button with a custom code interaction! That would be fantastic!
Thanks for the discussion here! Continue button compatibility is one of the first updates our team is prioritizing. We'll update the forums here once that is available for testing.

Here's how it's done with Mighty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wub0mdxbrak.
We just need this natively. - MarkRash865Community Member
KyleClements1 I'm just chiming in with support of / hope for a method for unlocking a Continue divider from within a code block. 🤞😀

That's great news KyleClements1 - we have one sponsor that wants EVERYTHING locked down and this will make customizing activities for them so much easier.

I can give you one more use case for when the "Locked down" feature is required...
"When you have created a custom form with required fields."
Without the "complete the block above before continuing" functionality, users can just scroll past the form. See Sample Use Here - YaninaAudisio1Community Member
Please, it would be great to have Continue button compatibility as soon as possible. Thanks!
