3 Easy Ways to Let Learners Pick Their Own Avatar in Storyine
If there’s one question we hear again and again, it’s this:
“How can I let learners choose their own character or avatar at the beginning of a course and have it stick with them the whole way through?”
The good news is not only can you do it in Storyline 360, it’s actually one of the easiest ways to start working with variables.
Three Simple Approaches
We’ll cover three different ways to pull this off so you can choose the one that works best for your project.
First, there’s the timeline approach, which is probably the one most folks use. Then you’ve got the slide master route, which helps with consistency if you’re working across a lot of slides. And last, there’s the object trigger method, which just might become your new favorite because it saves time and effort when copying your characters to new slides.
- Option 1: Timeline events
- Option 2: Using Slide Master
- Option 3: Object-level triggers
This kind of setup is a great way to personalize your course without adding a ton of extra work.
