Abbreviated Menu

Hello!

When I delete the details of a menu and include only the scene names, the menu does not leave a check to indicate progress while taking the course. Additionally, if I click on a scene to go to, I just end up advancing the slides and am not taken to the scene.

I'd like just the main titles in my menu and for the learner to see where they are in the course. Is this possible?

  • The Menu needs slides in it to work. Having just the scene names doesn't give it an actual slide to advance to.

If you want to remind users where they are in the course, you could add the scene/section title to the slides. If you do that, I suggest you set up a Master layout for each scene, so you won't have to update the text in all the slides if the title changes.

Another option would be to create a custom menu on the side of the slides. That could be put on the Master, with triggers there that control which button is highlighted. But that's a lot more work and takes up more screen space.

  • In that case change the first slide of each slide to the section name and use that or add the first slide of each name in the player properties and rename to section name. But it will be ticked as soon as they click it

Yes, just what I was thinking! Thanks so much!
