Accessibility JAWS when importing from PowerPoint

We have a course inherited from an external design company. It would appear that the slides were designed in PowerPoint and imported to Storyline. When we test the module for accessibility Jaws reads all of the artifacts listed in the focus order and then when it gets to the bottom of the slide it continues and reads them all again each with each artifact reading as a graphic. Eg. of JAWS output.

Heading level 1 welcome to compassionate foundations

Throughout these modules, we will hear from people with lived experience of suicidal distress and adversity.

The only reason we know this is due to PowerPoint is because we tested by developing some info in PP and importing it to Storyline. The same affect happened. None of the repeated information is in the focus order and we are not sure how to locate the repeat screen reader information so we can stop this happening. Has anyone else ever experienced this? provide advice?
