Accessibility on Slide Master
Hello,
I’m currently using badges as progress indicators on a slider on the slide master. The badges appear one by one as users reach milestones in the training. However, since all of the badges are included on the slide master, screen readers are announcing all of them on every slide, even those the user haven't earned yet.
Is removing the accessibility tags completely from these badges the only solution?
Thanks,
Melanie
Hi Melanie,
The work around you could do is remove the accessibility tags on the badges on the master slide, then on the slides the badges first appear on, use a duplicate badge that is in the same place as the one on the master slide that has the accessibility tag turned on. This way it only gets read out once and can be controlled more easily in the focus order specific to the slide the new badges first appear on. Hopefully that makes sense in what i am suggesting.
Cheers,
Robyn
