Acronym in a different language in the same voiceover

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to solve this problem. I have a lesson that is in Dutch but I would like the acronyms in the voiceover to always be pronounced in English. I tried using the syntax <say-as interpret-as="characters">IID</say-as> but I always get different results and rarely the correct ones. Any suggestions?

Thank you

I would create the clip in Dutch and then download it as an *.mp3 file, then create a second clip with the acronyms in English, and download that. Then I would work with an audio tool such as Audacity to create the final clip with the English-pronounced acronym, and replace the original Dutch clip with that. You should not need to tweak your captions (if you are using them).

You could also try a tool like WellSaidLabs, which has custom pronunciation dictionaries - though I admit I have not tried the dual language approach that you are using here. Good luck!
