ADA Complaint - Accessible text

Hi there,
We are developing an ADA-compliant version course for our client. We have a query in the Knowledge Check questions where the '...........'(blank)' must be read out by the screen reader. Is there any alternative text available for this? For instance: The ....... rises to the east. What is the best way to mention the 'blank' in the accessible text?
