Adaptive learning using Q-banks/Test out
I want to create a Qbank for a test out that pulls random questions. If a learner answers a question incorrectly, they should be shown remediation slides specific to that question. My challenge is that I'm currently using a true/false variable for each question to trigger the remediation slide when the answer is incorrect (false). However, remediation slides also appear for the questions that were not selected in the random pull, since their associated variable value remains false. Any workaround? Thanks in advance!!

We set up Correct/Incorrect answer layers. On the Incorrect layers, the learner gets high-level remediation information, then the Continue button appears once the learner reviews the information. (You could create subsequent layers that require the learner to confirm that he or she has reviewed and comprehended the information, as well.) The Continue button then advances the learner to the next question in the draw without relying on the T/F approach, and the built-in Results can then be used to evaluate whether the learner should take the entire course or receive passing credit for the test-out.

That's a great approach. However, the client wants to keep the test-out time to a minimum of 10 minutes. This is an annual regulatory requirement for audience and just is a checkbox. I'm testing using another number variable that is associated with each question and appends from zero (initial value) to 1 when the timeline starts, to check if the question was a part of the random draw. I will post here if that works.
