Adjusting Rise course made in free trial

Hey, we had an internship make a Rise course on a free trial and now we want to collaborate on this course from our teamsubsription. This seems unpossible. The free trial can publish to LMS, but then the course can't be adapted in the future. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thx, Ester

  • Unfortunately the same error pop-ups up: it seems like we are in a different regional datacenter (maybe the free trial is in the US and my account is in the EU?) or "my e-mailadres is not valid" (wich is not the case).

If the trial was in the US and you're account is in the EU, there is currently no way to transfer the course. Europe has regulations that restrict data movement.

  • We are both based in Belgium... But the intern created a free trial on a private gmail. Could this be the problem?

The ability to transfer Rise courses isn't impacted by whether the account holder's e-address uses a specific company's domain or something more generic (like gmail).

As I understand it, what matters is what regional data center is chosen when signing up. Someone in the US could choose the EU center. Someone in Europe could choose the US center. But it's not possible to switch an existing account from one regional data center to another.

  • The intern is quite sure to have chosen the EU datacentre. The trial is still active. Would the supportteam be able to check this setting or tranfer the courses?

      Hi EsterDehauwere,

Situations like this can be confusing, so I'm glad to see JudyNollet is helping!

Currently, Rise 360 users can collaborate with and send copies of courses to other Rise 360 users in the same regional data center—either the EU or the U.S. If you can share the intern's email address here or privately in a support case, I'd be happy to look into this further!
