Articulate AI trial

Hi,

I received an email back on August 13th inviting me to try out the Articulate 360 AI assistant and on that same day I followed the instructions to opt out. I logged into Rise today and I can see the AI assistant there, including the option to use an AI block. I double checked my account settings and I am still opted out, so why do I have these AI options? Is that normal even though I am opted out of the trial? I'd rather not see these options because I will never use them.

Thanks for your time.

  • Hi JohnMcNichol-f7!

Happy to share some insight on this!

What you described is the expected behavior. Articulate 360 Team admins can disable AI functionality during the free trial, from your account's Teams dashboard. However, in this state, Articulate AI features remain visible in Rise 360 and Storyline 360, but are not functional.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks for posting the question. I'm adding my voice to this as well. StevenBenassi please add some options in Storyline at least to customize the Home tab to remove unwanted features like AI. I despise how the AI features take up a good chunk of the space available on the ribbon when I'm not going to use them. I use slide layout options and text options far more and do not need the AI features visible at all. This is frustrating especially when the AI features require a paid add-on that we won't be subscribing to.

Just hear to echo and support fellow community members who would like to option to disable AI features on Rise. As others have pointed out, the AI option takes up space which would be better occupied by more text formatting options.

Can you please clarify the disable options? You mention one of the options, but the article provides two options:

Yes. When you disable Articulate AI on the Articulate 360 dashboard, AI Assistant tools still display in Rise 360 and Storyline 360 but aren’t functional. When Articulate AI services are disabled via a request, Articulate AI features and functionality are removed from Rise 360 and Storyline 360.

Is the second option not actually available? I used the first option to toggle off AI assistant prior to the opt out date and then when I read the article last week that said we had to email to have it fully disabled, we emailed that request. The response we received was to give the directions that you also just gave to use the dashboard. Is there an option to actually disable it? Part of the challenge with leaving the options visible is both the added buttons that aren't functional and that selecting them displays a pop up window about AI and includes a button to automatically email the account owner. Also we have Rise disabled so even if we did turn on AI, apparently the AI option wouldn't work anyway. Thank you!

        Hi jenniferfiresto!

Sorry for the confusion! Happy to help!

It sounds like you've successfully toggled Articulate AI features off, but would like to remove them completely. I see the e-mail you're referring to, where your colleague connected with Janina, one of our support engineers. However, our Technical Account Management team can assist you with a complete removal. I've escalated your case to them!

We can continue the conversation through your case to keep all information in one spot.
