AI Avatars vs. Voice Only Narrators
Hi! Thanks for responding. If I create an Avatar in Rise using, for example Deborah and download that video as an MP4 and integrate it into Storyline. I would like to have a "Deborah" voice available in Storyline so my avatar's voice matches the rest of my training. Right now I have to find the closest voice and which not only takes time, but is not spot on. If the Deborah in Rise had a matching Deborah voice in Storyline, that would be wonderful. I am not sure if you have a list that I can look at to see what avatars in Rise have a matching voice in Storyline.

I can confirm that we do not have a list currently, but I will share your feedback with our product team. I do have one more question. Has needing to use a different voice ever changed how you design your courses or influenced whether you use AI avatars in the first place?

Hi. Yes, it does change the way I look at how I design my course. If I have two voices, then I have to design my course with that in mind. Meaning, I am not going to try and "fool" the user that it's the same person. I need to then develop the course using a 2-narrator approach instead of an individual narrator. In it's simplest form, I may have the avatar, let's call him Bill, introducing the modules and he would bump to the 2nd narrator by saying something like, "We will have Jim talk a bit more in detail about this topic." This way the learner knows there are two narrators and I don't spend hours listening through various voices trying to find ones that are so similar that the different is undetectable. Thanks.
