AI Voice Charlie the "Australian"

Hi, I developed a course using Charlie for the AI voice.

It WAS generating a fairly passable Australian accent. Somehow it is now generating as a weird utterly bland non-descript North American accent. I defy anyone to honestly say this sounds anything like an Aussie accent. 

I don't have this confused with the other discontinued Aussie accent called Dave. 

As I am developing training material in Australia this isn't great. 

Has the Charlie voice been altered or broken in some way or other? 

Who do I complain to?

    Hello MalcolmArmstron, 

    Thanks for reaching out! Our team is aware of a behavior where the v3 instance of AI Voices is generating inconsistent results with accents.

    As a workaround, you can adjust the Advanced Settings in the AI text-to-speech window to Multilingual v2. Here's how:

    1. Open the AI text-to-speech window.
    2. Advanced settings.
    3. Next to Model, check what the current setting is. If it's set to v3, try selecting Multilingual v2.
    4. Select Generate to preview the voice again.

     

    If you experience this same behavior with v2, please let us know so we can investigate further in this thread or privately in a support case.
