Align SVG with text box

Usually, when you select two elements (such as a text box and an image) the format tab is available so you can arrange and align them. But if you select an SVG image with another non-SVG element, the format tab is no longer available. If you right-click, you can still group and send to back or front, but you can't align or distribute them. Is there another shortcut to the arrange and align tools?

  • I add the alignment tools to the quick access tool bar. If not the align tools are available on the home tab under arrange.

Aha. Only once I posted this question did the forum suggest another post asking basically the same question. The answer is that when you select an SVG and another element, you can find the "Align" feature under the "Arrange" menu on the Home tab. I still think it's a bug that the Format tab goes away when you have an SVG element selected with something else. But at least I have a workaround.

  • Format is not an option for SVG, which is an odd oversight and restricts editing in Storyline. That is probably reason the format tab disapears.
