Articulate 360 Peek Window issues

I am frankly astsonished that this issue still remains 7 years later. Articulate - you are letting down your users by not trying to fix things. Yeah yeah yeah I read what you say - that bugs are fixed according to priority. But this has been going on for over 7 years and you have done NOTHING about it. That is treating your customers with total disrespect. I have not actually ever used Peek until today. I have now spent all afternoon recording videos only to discover that they only recorded about one quarter of my screen. Like others I work on a laptop. It has a high resolution screen which is too small for my eyes to see, so I set it to 200% zoom. I also use a 2nd monitor. I read the previous issues on this and thought I had done what was recommended (I disconnected the external monitor, and I set my zoom back to 100%. I then recorded my videos only to discover hours later that they only recorded the top left corner of the screern. I then changed the desctop resolution to 1920x1080 and although the full screen is recorded, it is shrunk down to a quarter of the final video window. You have wasted 4 hours of my time because you simply cannot bothered to fix a tool. Please get this fixed or do not even add it to your suite of tools. Frankly it is not fit for purpose, and for over 7 years you have done nothing to fix it. Totally shameful Articulate.

Hi - 7 years later and it looks like this problem still exists, needing to disconnect from external monitors for the video to not be offset. Could you please resolve this bug?

This issue persists on Windows 11. Even unplugging the extra screen and recording only the laptop screen records off-centre pieces of the screen instead of the entire Peek area. When will this be fixed?

Same here. Peek is a no-go app.

This appears to still be an issue and is really, really frustrating. 

I've tried using replay as well as peek with similar results. I use windows 10 and have just downloaded the latest version of peek.

To record the current version on above link, I set my display size to 100% (in the Windows setting). You'll see the issue here is that the window I selected (sized the peek recording window over) is not what was recorded. 
In the previous version my display was set to 125%. Here the window size is perfect, but the mouse movements are not shown correctly. I wanted to see if I could disable them, but the Peek preferences won't open...

So I tried unplugging my monitor and doing it directly on my laptop screen, still with display set to 100% to get the mouse movements right. In the attached screenshot you'll see the default Peek window size. You'll see above it records more than what is selected. I resized it to fit only the browser window. Still, it recorded most of the screen. The mouse movements are still not shown correctly. You can see that here:

This is what I settled on, but is really not ideal because I want to show my browser window only.

Have no work-arounds or fixes been found in over 3 years? Is there any way this issue can be escalated? Instead of spending 5 or 10 minutes doing a quick how-to video, it has taken me almost an hour to get a less than desirable result.

Has there been a resolution to this? I am not able to use dual monitors thru a docking station  not using dual monitors or a docking station is not an option. please advise.

I am having these issues as well, have done all of the recommended display changes to troubleshoot. In the recording selection dialog, I noticed that the desktops are both previewed shrunken and off center - as they would end up recording (screenshot below, I've added yellow marks to note where the blue line would be when the other desktop is selected).

Any attempts to manually correct this result in the mouse cursor being offset - which makes the screen recording useless for creating on-screen documentation. 

Any updates on this issue after 4 years?

Since disconnecting the second monitor didn't help, could you try adjusting your Display Settings and Scale and layout settings to 100%?

We heard that resolves the issue for most folks, but let us know if Peek 360 is still giving you trouble. We're here to help! 

I realize this is an old thread but I am having the same issue.  When I have 2 monitors, the application I select to record is skewed. 

I disconnected my 2nd monitor and I have the same problem.  I went ahead and recorded anyway and used hotkeys to stop the recording.  That worked, but the problem then became the recording captured the red outline that peek said it was recording, even though it was skewed (image attached).

I'm using Windows 10
