Articulate Review and Rise -- Annotated comments are needed for blocks.
Developing a 7-lesson course and it is difficult to attach comments to a specific block within Review. For example, if you have a lesson with 7-10 blocks and you comment, you have to provide context in each content, for example: "In paragraph 7, line 3, change the word X to Y".
It would be great if it would allow us to attach reviews to blocks, or, go even deeper to specific words--like in Word, PDF's or PPTs.
Hi everyone,
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Review 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Make your feedback more precise by adding screenshots annotated with text, drawings, and shapes to comments.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to publish your course again to Review 360.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Any update on this ??

Agreed. The lack of the ability to attach a comment to a section makes for awkward meetings with clients. I have to set up a separate document to take screenshots and add notes. It wastes a lot of my time and the clients' time too. Any update? Thanks.

Totally agree. The fact that you cannot specify (with highlighting text or in other way) the a sentence or other exact spot of the course to which a comment refers to, leaves too much room for guesswork. Like Diana, I have to send both review-version and pdf to content owner to make sure that I get their feedback exactly right. This should not be the case.

Adding my vote as well. Reviewers need the ability to highlight or circle/draw markups on the content in association with their comment.
Articulate team, this has been getting requested for 3 years, with plenty of ongoing interest to warrant addressing it.

I want to add to this feature request, too. Some ability to either have a highlight box (like Storyline has for viewing ease when working with triggers) or the ability to "drop a pin" next to the Rise element (similar to how Adobe lets you pin comments in a review link) would be so helpful! I'm currently helping someone with a multi-block, 10+ lesson Rise course and a visual way to see precisely which word/sentence/etc we're commenting on would be a great help.

Adding to this discussion because this is also a significant issue for my team. The inability to be more specific about what the comment is related to is incredibly painful and downright risky in our highly regulated industry when I struggle sometimes to figure out what part of a lesson a reviewer is commenting on. The fact that this is a feature update that's been on your radar for years now with no movement on it is disconcerting.

Any updates? This is critical and a significant enough problem that our team is testing building content first in google docs just to be able to support the review cycle. Trying to describe a location of text in the middle of a block (2nd sentence of 2nd paragraph, the 3rd word on 4th line ..., ), or 4th step of process, etc. it's unwieldy as it is and SMEs/reviewers complain. They want to be able to pinpoint a location / highlight what they are commenting on like in so many other tools out there.

I will sometimes export the RISE file as a PDF and leave comments that way. May save you some time from needing to recreate the file in a different program.

I fully agree. The Review Tool is way behind where it needs to be for today’s market.
The distinct lack of almost ANY real progress on the thousands of user suggestions for new functionality across the portfolio, casts Articulate in a very poor light and I am extremely disappointed in the company.
It is high time that Articulate convene a Developer conference and is honest enough to admit to its failings and share a meaningful roadmap with us, its customers.

Hi, Patricia.
While this feature hasn't made it on our feature roadmap yet, this discussion is connected to the report, so we'll be sure to notify you when we have news to share.

Hello- Also would like to add to this thread. Is there an update as to when the comments could be aligned with the block?
- HoffmanCLACommunity Member
I agree. My reviewers typically feel the need to add in context clues to describe where they are leaving a comment, which they feel adds unnecessary time. It would be great to have the comments more easily aligned with the block
