Audio over multiple slides in Storyline
I know that in Articulate Storyline you have to break up your audio by slide. I have some music I'd like to play over multiple slides. When I break up the music by slide though there seems to be a half second delay between slides which makes the music sound choppy, Is there any fix for this? I welcome any and all ideas
Hi everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 74, we've included important fixes and new features.
One of the new features we've included is:
- Create immersive experiences with continuous background audio that sets the tone and keeps learners engaged.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you have questions!

Yep, I'm talking about background audio. There isn't an option to import anything from Presenter to Storyline, is there?
Thanks so much for responding to my question! It will be really cool when this feature is incorporated into Storyline.
Hi Joan,
You can import from Presenter into Storyline as shown here. There are certain features like playlists which won't be imported.
Hello Andrea - I'm not sure if Math is still subscribed here. You are certainly welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.
Hi Jaclyn,
Background audio and playlists are not yet a feature of Storyline 3.
Thanks for checking in on this feature!

This was 2 years ago, how about now, keen to achieve the same thing?
Hey Alastair - I know that Emily shared a cool audio trick here if you'd like to check it out. Not sure what version of Storyline you are using.

Any updates on this? I'm a new user and very surprised there is not an easy, built in solution for playing audio over multiple slides - possible selecting slides from "storyview" for audio file.
Hi Cristina! Welcome to the community. 😊 While there still isn't a way to add audio over multiple slides, we do realize it's a popular request! If we add this feature to Storyline in the future, we'll be sure to share the news here.
You can keep up with all the new and exciting things we're adding to Storyline on our What's New page!

I tried Matt's solution and the audio plays over the whole story beautiful.
I have tried many things, but no matter what, my first page is black with a play button in the middle. I tried using states and layers with a picture, but the black screen is always first. Is there anyway to change this when you want the embedded video to occupy the entire stage. I am new to this, so I may be missing something simple. Attached is picture of the screen.
