automatically hyphenated words
In Mobile Portrait (Rise Preview or LMS preview), Rise is automatically hyphenating longer words instead of moving them to the next line. (Text is left aligned, and font size is 16pt.) Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Nothing in your content is causing this — it's the Rise player's CSS, which applies automatic hyphenation to text blocks at narrow widths. Left-aligned 16pt text in mobile portrait is exactly where it shows up, because that's where long words stop fitting on a line. Quick way to confirm: preview on desktop and narrow the browser window until the breakpoint hits; you'll see hyphens appear and disappear as the width changes.
There's no toggle for it in Rise's theme or text settings, so you can't switch it off directly. What actually helps in practice:
- It only kicks in when a word can't fit the remaining line width, so rewording or shortening the specific sentences where it appears is the reliable fix.
- Shorter paragraphs (fewer words per block) mean fewer chances for a long word to land at the end of a line.
If you need a hard guarantee — regulated content, drug names, anything where a hyphen changes meaning — the honest answer is that Rise doesn't offer one today. That's a solid feature request to file.
