AutoRecovery/Resizing Story
Yeah, unfortunately, there was no recover project box when I reopened.I don't know why I wasn't saving-- I should know better, cuz I've been using Storyline since 2019. Thanks for the good luck! :)

Hi Emaiuri,
Sorry to hear about your crash when pasting images. I have converted projects from lower resolutions (960x540) to higher resolutions (1920x1080) before, and had a similar experience. However, it looks like your struggle was even less ideal since you changed from 4:3 to 16:9. I don't have a solution for file recovery, since I have always relied on the recovery pop-up when loading Storyline the next time. But I can share a couple things that I have done relating to saving and recovery that helped me.
Best Practices:
- Change AutoRecovery frequency.
- Under Storyline Options I have my Save AutoRecovery set to every 1 minute, since I get particularly frustrated if I lose any development time. By default, this option should be every 10 minutes.
- Set reminder to manually save until it becomes a habit.
- You could also try setting an alarm on your phone and when it goes off, save your file. Then instead of stopping the alarm, you can "snooze" it which should give you another recurring 8 minute reminder until you finally stop it. It's a little extreme, but just an idea to help get you in the habit of saving more frequently.
I will add that my AutoRecovery has gotten me out of trouble a number of times. If you continue to have issues with this feature not working I would suggest opening a case with support to see if they can investigate.
Hope this helps!
