Avoid Animation Restart when Jumping Back to Slide
I am making a review game where a car is animated to move along freeform motion paths. At the end of each path, a trigger is activated to take the user to a question slide in another scene. When that question has been answered, they jump back to the main game slide with the car.
My problem is that when the user returns to the main game slide from a question, the animation of the car begins at the start again instead of picking up where it left off.
I checked to make sure that the main slide is set to save progress instead of reset to initial state and I checked my triggers, but I don't know what's causing the problem.
Is there a way to prevent the animation from restarting every time the user returns to the main slide?
Hi BICSI,
That's a good question! I got curious and created a Storyline project based on your description. My tests show that the motion path was at the end of the animation, picking up where it left off when I jumped back to the main slide, coming from the question slide on another scene. Here's the slide properties page of the main slide:
I attached the sample project so you can look at the slides and triggers.
We'd be happy to look at your Storyline project file if you want us to see how the slides are set up. You may attach your project to this discussion or privately in a support case. We'll delete it when we're done!

HI Eric,
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! I do have the slide settings set to "resume saved state" and the triggers should work as intended, but I may still be missing something. I submitted the file through a support case to get some more insight into what might be causing this issue.
I appreciate your help!
