Forum Discussion
Thank you for that screenshot, Jennifer! I'm so sorry you ran into this.
We have an open issue in Storyline 360 with blurriness on dashed lines and lines with a custom end type. I'm tagging this discussion so I can circle back with any new information!
For now, one workaround is to use block arrows instead of line arrows. Let us know if you need a hand!

Not sure I know what you mean by block arrows?

Hi Jennifer,
Katie is referring to these arrows in the Shapes drop-down menu under the Insert tab.

OK that helps, but what about blurry dashed lines?

Hi Jennifer,
The best workflow at the moment is to utilize Block Arrows. Our team is continuing to investigate this issue, and we will be sure to provide an update as soon as we have more information!

@Vincent Scoma, Oh no, not the Block Arrows :-)
Lines are sharp and clear, but when you add an arrowhead, dot etc. (or using the Arrow) it's getting blurry. So I just took all the arrowheads away from my lines and added a rectangle instead, on top of the line. With duplicate and rotate it doesn't take so long time to add them to several lines. And the result is sharp, clear and thin "arrows".

Hi Dan,
Thanks for sharing how you worked around this bug! We'll be sure to pop in here when there's any progress on a fix.

I have a slide with multiple lines, both solid and dashed. The weight was originally set at 2. I decided it was a little too heavy and wanted to change weight on all of them to 1. When I change the weight, the lines become blurry and thick. I literally had to delete every line (which was A LOT!) and start over with new lines, set to "1" to begin with. This has happened on multiple slides, multiple times (eg) consistently changing to blurry if weigh of line is change. Very frustrating! What's the deal?!

Hi Laurie,
I've been there and I agree, it is frustrating and it takes a lot of time. As soon as you try to use anything else than a solid line, they will get blurry. That goes also for solid lines with any kind of customized start or end point. Here is a solution/workaround.
If you need lines with arrowhead or any start or end point, just use a solid line and insert a triangle form in the end of the line.
And for dashed lines, use a text box or some other shape and type the dashes or underlines.
Not optimal but a workaround.
See attached file. Hope this will help you.

Hello, I too am having this issue. Arrowheads seem to render them as low res raster images, not vectors or lines. Is there a fix?
Hi Ivan!
We haven't released a fix yet! Once we do, we'll notify everyone in this discussion.
