Button Customization
Maybe I am missing something but is there any way to get rid of the all-caps defaults? A lot of the labels including buttons are always in all-caps. For accessibility reasons I cannot have them in all-caps. Thank you!

Hi Ashley,
It is good to hear that improvements are going to be made for accessibility. My two main areas of focus for accessibility are the all-caps issue and tab order. Some screen readers will read words in all-caps one letter at a time (which isn't practical when all buttons are in caps) and those with reading disabilities often have trouble reading words in all-caps. Users also need to be able to tab through everything on the screen in an order that makes sense (like not going though the sidebar navigation every time a new lesson is started). A section for alternative texts also needs to be available for any images on the screen. Hope this helps! Can't wait to see some changes.

Hi there. Just adding my voice to this request. Seems pretty simple. Thanks.
Hey Jill. Great question. You can customize your labels in Rise under the course settings tab!

Hi Crystal,
Thank you for your reply! Even when I customize the label under course settings to remove the all-caps, it still appears in all-caps in preview. Is there something else I am missing? Thanks!
Hi Jill,
You'll see that some of the headers and buttons are set to appear as all caps, and there isn't yet a setting to change that. You mentioned this being an issue for accessibility, and I know our team is focusing on some accessibility updates and improvements in the near future. I'd love to have some additional insight from you on what things you need to focus on, and I can pass that along to our Product team.
Hi Jill,
You can add alt text to images in Rise, take a look at the directions here.
We'll keep folks posted on all the other accessibility improvements we're working on - thanks for sharing some additional insight into crucial areas for you and your learners!

It's great the team is in the process of making these updates to Rise 360. It doesn't look like the capitalization feature was included in this last update (October 2019)--maybe I missed it? Thanks!
Hi Ashley,
We haven't made changes to the default case in buttons yet. Thanks for checking in!

Hi there, we are launching a new induction module, accessibility is key for us, please can you confirm if there is an option yet for all lowercase? Thanks!
Hi there,
While continue button text can be lowercase, button block text appears in all uppercase letters. Thanks so much for letting us know that you need an option for lowercase letters there!
