Can I reduce the noise of the mouse clicks?
Some learners have recently tests a course I have produced and lots of them found the clicking sound on the "view" mode too loud and jarring- is there any way to reduce the volume of this?
If I were to not use it at all- I feel it loses the impact of tracking along the steps I'm demonstrating- so any alternative suggestions appreciated! :)

Hi beth11keohane, welcome to the community, and thanks for raising this. I agree that the click sound tends to land louder and more jarring than the rest of a course's audio.
To confirm where things stand, there isn't a volume control for the click sound specifically. The only native option is choosing None, Single, or Double for the click, there's no way to just turn it down rather than off entirely.
That said, there's a way to get what you actually want here. The click sound and the visual click effect are two separate, independent settings on the mouse cursor object. If you set the click sound to None but keep Show Click Effects turned on, you'll still get a visible animated cue right where each click happens, so learners can still track along with what you're demonstrating, just without the audio. That might give you the tracking impact you're looking for without the noise that's bothering your learners.
And for what it's worth, wanting that volume turned down rather than removed entirely is a reasonable ask, and it's one we're continuing to track.
