Please tell any method to download the video by clicking on the button.
Hello VipinKumar-eef7,
I'm glad to see you're looking to insert a video into your Storyline project that folks can download! Happy to help!
Step 1: Saving your video file.
- First, you'll want to ensure your video is saved to your device.
Step 2: Create a button in Storyline 360.- Open your Storyline project.
- Go to the slide or layer where you want to add a button.
- Navigate to the Insert tab on the ribbon.
- Click Button and choose one of the button styles.
- Draw your button on the slide.
- Tip: You can add text directly to the button by selecting it and typing. If you need to adjust the font or paragraph settings, use the options in the Home tab.
Step 3: Create a Trigger for your button to open the video.- Select the button you've added to your slide.
- Go to the Insert tab on the Storyline ribbon and click Trigger.
- In the Trigger Wizard, set the following properties:
- Action: Select Open URL/File.
- File or URL: Enter the full URL of the destination web page or browse to the file you want to attach.
- When: Choose the event that will activate your hyperlink, such as User clicks.
4. Click OK to save your trigger.
Step 4: Publish and view your course.
- Utilize one of our publishing options to publish your course.
- View your course in the published environment and click on the button within the slide.
- After clicking, you'll navigate to a new window for your video. You can find the download button clicking the three dots in the bottom right corner of the window.
I'd like to share a visual of these steps in action for your reference.I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Vipin,
Luciana's suggestion is an excellent solution that perfectly matches your requirements, so there's no need to look further. Alternatively, you can use JavaScript to download the video while staying on the slide, as Storyline will open a new tab where you can initiate the download. Unfortunately, I can't share my code at the moment, but I recommend working with your developers to implement this functionality if required in your department. Again, it is not necessary as long as the same functionality can be achieved with Storyline triggers.
