Can't figure out how to remove automated scroll bar appearing in Accessibility Text
This is driving me nuts. Hundreds of text boxes that were built before the autofit accessibility feature when into play several months ago now have automatic scrolls attached to the those text boxes.
I have tried the many Articulate recommended "fixes" to get rid of the scroll bar., in particular by accessing the Storyline 360 Text Auftofit Improvements article (https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-360-Text-Autofit-Improvements) and Storyline 360: Upgrade Project Text article (https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-360-Upgrade-Project-Text). I created a backup file after allowing the Upgrade Text feature to be imported. This did not generate an "Upgrade Project Text" option under the Design/ Fonts dropdown menu as described in the article. (I would love to be able to get rid of all automated scrolling that has been applied to hundreds of text boxes when the Accessible Text toggle is turned on.)
I've also tried manually updating each text box that has a scrollbar I don't want. I try doing this by accessing the Text Box tab in the Format Shape dropdown option when right-clicking on the text box I want it applied to (including the text box on the attachment). I've tried each of the following options on that panel:
-Expand width option
-Fixed size option with Overflow handling set to Allow text to overflow
I've also tried expanding the length of the text box far beyond the length of the single line text so it wouldn't default to a scroll when Accessibility Text is turned on.
None of these approaches have worked.
I need help quickly and am frustrated by this issue.
Thanks to anyone who can give me a good quick workaround or solution.

Hi Rian,
Thanks for reaching out about this! I understand that you are seeing scroll bars appear in the textboxes that are on your buttons. I'm happy to help out with this! The scroll bars appear because some browsers add more spacing than others in the text boxes when using accessible text. The workaround is to export those shapes as pictures, insert those pictures, and reassign the triggers. Here is a Peek 360 video showing you how I did that.
I attached the file with the changes I made in the video.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Hi, I am facing similar issues, where scroll bars are popping up on a few buttons and not on others of similar dimensions and also on text boxes that have very little text. Any help to turn off the scrolling feature is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi Somdotta,
I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue as well! Were you able to watch the workaround video I included in the post above? It shows the steps to import buttons as pictures which solve the issue. If this doesn't work for you, would you be willing to share your file here or with our support engineers privately in a support case so we can troubleshoot more?
Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!

Hi, I am experiencing this issue with text boxes in my slide! How do I turn this off?
Hi Natalie!
Sorry to hear you've also run into issues with the text boxes on your slides! I'd be happy to help with that!
Just to clarify, are you experiencing the same problem Christian mentioned at the start of the thread? If so, have you had a chance to try the troubleshooting step my teammate Kelly shared earlier in the discussion?
If you are encountering a different behavior with text boxes, it would be helpful to take a closer look at your file to investigate what's going on. You can share a copy here in the discussion or privately through a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete!
Thanks for reaching out! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Steven,
No I haven't tried that. I will try and let you know if I'm still facing issues and will submit a support case.
Hi Natalie!
Thanks for sharing the feedback!
Not to worry! If the steps shared previously don't resolve the issue, please follow up and we will be happy to continue troubleshooting with you!

And yes, the issue is there are small scroll bars in my text boxes that weren't there before.

Hi there,
I am having the same issue, but the video with the workaround was deleted. Can you reshare please?
Hi Bri,
Happy to help!
Here's a re-recording of the video on how to export a shape as a picture to prevent scroll bars from appearing in your shapes with text.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Help...Same issue with the scroll bars. It's pretty frustrating. How do you stop them permanently. I think it happened when I upgraded some text in a master as I remembering it asking me if I wanted to upgrade the project. Silly me said yes, and the result is this auto scroll on every text box. I have to manually go in and change it in the formatting. Which is time consuming. Please fix this.
Hello Janet!
I'm sorry this has caused frustration! Upgrading project text saves a backup copy of the project file with the original settings. Did you see the option to backup the original project file? If so, you might have a copy available with your original project settings.

Yeah I saw it but I’ve done too much in the new version now. Unless I import the new stuff into the backup? If I do that will I have the same issue?
