Captions automatically get included when SL published as a video?
Hi Angela,
Many thanks for the reply. I read that thread, at the top it said there was a new update 12 months ago that "added captions automatically". Link in post above.
I had tried adding that player trigger but it didn't work. Plus, I prefer the captions to toggle on only when the viewer decides they want to see them (like in SL), not automatically onscreen when video starts.
As a test, I did try a work-around, creating and re-importing the captions as .vtt files (laborious work, and not feasible if the course has many slides) but it was not a success. The captions appear in the middle of the bottom third of the video and they obscure elements in the video. Plus they are white on a transparent background so forget them showing up on a slide with a white BG.
Back to the drawing board!
Thanks again for your pointers.
Hello Ange,
If the Closed Captions in your project aren't displaying properly, please share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at your setup. We'll delete it when we're done testing!

Hi Jose, I opened a support case and submitted files and query. Thank you!
