CC disappeared when a new layer is playing over the base layer

Hi. This is Lavanyaa. I am beginner in learning SL3. I am working in a sample project. In that I have encountered a problem. That is, after publishing the project, the CC button is there when the base layer is playing, but it's gone when the the slide layer is playing over the base layer. I don't know why this is happening. I have attached two screenshots.


1st screenshot: you can see the CC button which I have highlighted in red.
2nd screenshot: the CC button has gone when another slide layer is playing over the base

Is there anything I need to change in the slide layer properties? Please help me, if anybody know the solution.

    The CC button on the player should appear for any slide that has closed captions, but it sounds like it's missing on one of your layers. Happy to help!
