Change automatic navigation between quiz questions

I am trying to create a lab simulation. On slide 1.12, users are presented with many possible tests to run. When a user selects a test, it takes them to a quiz question slide where they will be provided an image to interpret. I have set up custom triggers to then bring them back to the slide 1.12 (or ahead to 2.1, based on a variable counter to limit how many tests are run), but in Preview the slide always advances to the next quiz question instead.

How do I move from a quiz question back to the "main menu" (Slide 1.12) instead of progressing through all of the quiz questions at once?

  • Hi, Faith, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

Thank you for sharing your .story file!

On each of your questions, you have a button that submits the user's answers and jumps to other slides, depending on your variable. Since the triggers are all attached to the same button, their execution order is very important.

If you move the Submit Multiple Choice trigger to the bottom of your list, it should work as expected:

      Hi Maria,

Thank you so much for your response -- changing the order of the triggered events fixed it!

I wanted to pop in here to let you know that your email signature came through when you replied via email.

You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help!
