Character Limit in Rise Scenarios
Does anyone know if there is a plan to modify the 150 character limit in Scenarios in Rise? Or...I have to ask, does anyone know a way around it?
Using Scenarios is wonderful but 150 character max extremely limiting since scenarios are ideal for things like knowledge checks and scenario role plays.
This is really limiting my use of what could otherwise be a great tool.

Yes. I just was working with the free trial. I LOVE this program. But it is unusable because the character limit is too small. I'm using it for medical case scenarios for teaching, and it is impossible to provide all the necessary info. If you allowed repeat bubbles, I could just have the person/patient say more bubbles in a row. But as is, I cannot buy this. Even the comment/explanation bubbles are too short. It's a much better program than the competitor, but it just won't work.

Yet another +4 year old forum post that is replied with nothing but "thanks for your suggestion".
I have exactly the same problems as everyone here, I translate my courses from English into French, Italian and German and it is physically impossible to say what we want to say with 150 characters in all languages.
I also see absolutely no reason whatsoever why the one bubble can be 200 but the other one only 150. At least give us the same space for all of the bubbles available?
Also, it couldn't be THAT much of a hassle to increase the characters to 250, it's 50 characters and I'm sure 90% of everyone in this thread's issues would be resolved by having 50 more characters.
It is really frustrating how Storyline is treated so nicely, specially lately with all the QoL improvements made in the tool over 2022 and 2023, and Rise is just sitting there gaining dust being useful for next to nothing because everything is so finnicky to use and we barely even have space for translations.
PLEASE look into this, the simplest fix of adding 50 characters would go a long way, and I doubt anyone who uses this tool values "look and feel" more than practicality. Doesn't matter how good anything looks if I can't do what I need to do with the tool.

Yes, I agree the character count needs to be bumped up! It really limits what we can do in the scenarios. If you want the bubble to look good, give us the chance to decrease the font size.

+1. Just ran into this issue when converting a course to Spanish. Please add more flexibility for us whether it is extending the character limit or let us adjust the font size. In the meantime, at least add a warning if the character limit is exceeded. I thought I had an issue with my copy & paste because there was no message telling me my text was too long. Thanks!
Thanks, Drew. I've added the impact with translations to our tracker for this request. We'll update you here if we make a change that will help.

the character limitations for scenarios, matching and sorting is deadstopping my training development. There aren't even options to use images instead which would give me a work around. Please fix this! (I don't need the canned response your giving everyone... I know you will let people know if you decide to change it. Just hoping you do)

Would be very helpful... character limit is really frustrating!

Ditto for me as well, the 150 character limit is ridiculously small. I can duplicate it in Storyline but it would such a timesaver in design time if you bumped up the character limit to at least 500

+1 We are also translating our content into 19 languages, which makes the scenarios nearly impossible for us to use.
Hi there, Brian. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We want the scenario text bubbles to look great on every device, so limiting the character count helps keep everything sharp within the interaction.
We don't have plans to bump up the limit right now, but we'll let you know if that changes!
Thanks for adding your voices, everyone! We hear you, and I'll let you know if we make any changes.

May be add the option of inserting an audio files and letting learner choose the one they like. In this case you can also keep text the same but use different emotions:)
