Closed Captioning issues

I tested quite a bit further since I made a custom "pick one" slide and a Standard True False Question indeed doesn't have this issue.
Apparently it has something to do with how Storyline handles the timeline (and the pausing) of the baselayer in my specific project.
I had a counter on the feedbacklayers that added 1 "when timeline starts".If I removed the counter everything worked fine, even more specifically, if I altered it to add 1 "when timeline reaches cuepoint" (instead of when timeline starts) it also worked as intended.
However if I try to reproduce this on a brand new project I can't seem to reproduce the issue.
So if anyone should ever encounter this very specific bug in an existing project .. remove the counter or alter it to reach a cuepoint :)
