Colors of imported videos changing in Storyline 360

Good afternoon. I've been using the product for years now with no issue, but as of a few days ago, when I import a video I clipped in Premiere Pro, the static image looks fine, but when I play the slide, the colors start to distort.I've included screen shots of both. I've turned the PC off/on, I've created a new Storyline file, and re-exported the video file, but nothing seems to change.

Ideas?

  • Hi Brett,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.

We are currently tracking a bug where a slight color change is introduced in a video when imported to Storyline. I've added this ELH post to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released. We apologize if this bug has slowed you down in any way.

  • Thanks for the response Jose.

Yeah, unfortunately it's not allowing me to publish. Any idea if I will have to rebuild the deck, or if the bug fix should just correct the issue? Meaning if I should keep working on this and a new training even though it looks off, so it's ready to go when the bug is corrected?

If they need anyone to test the fix, feel free to have them reach out.

      Hi Brett,

We're still working on the bug, but we'll let you know as soon as a fix becomes available. Here's a quick look at how we tackle bugs for your reference.

You don't have to rebuild your course since the bug only affects videos, but you can reach out to our support team here if you'd like us to look at your project file to see if we have any workarounds to share with you.

  • I'm having this issue too.

I notice that this bug was from 5 months ago. Is it still and issue or are you aware of a new bug?

  • Ignore the above.

My issue was not related to a bug in Storyline. It turns out I had a setting call HDR (High Dynamic Range) turned on in my display settings under Windows HD color. This was throwing everything out, but only seemed to affect certain things like Storyline and also the native Screenshots app.

Just posting here incase anyone else gets a similar issue.
