Community Support for Accountability-Reported for Review
I am asking for community support for accountability to have Articulate change the language used in a course shell, using the example of pedophilia as a "condition" not covered by the ADA.
While previewing the course shell for 'ADA Compliance for Employees', under 'Defining Disabilities' lesson, the attached screenshot is a list of examples of "conditions" not covered under ADA.
I cannot fathom that whoever at Articulate created this content couldn't come up with ANY OTHER EXAMPLES. This content needs updated asap to include a list of appropriate reasonable "conditions" not covered by ADA.
Disappointing content from an industry leader.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about the ADA template. I can empathize with how unexpected and troubling this example may feel when encountered without additional context.
The language in the template comes directly from Section 12211 of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which identifies specific conditions excluded from the ADA’s definition of disability. It was included to keep the template accurate to the law.
That said, accuracy and thoughtful presentation can, and should, go hand in hand. Your feedback about the need for clearer context and more sensitive framing is valuable, and I’ll make sure it reaches our content team for consideration.
