Compiling answers to open answer question slides in articulate
Hi
Would so love some help with this. I have created some open answer slides in Storyline that I am using in a module created in Articulate and hosted in Moodle. The answers aren't ever going to be right or wrong so they need to be unmarked. I also don't create the original content, so am slightly limited in what I can do with it.
Currently, it just says: "Write your answer here:" with a submit button that does nothing.
Can anyone help me make this more satisfying for students, so that then when they hit submit, it does something. There are about 4 - 6 of this type of question, and it would be appreciated if the data collected could be collated, but it's not strictly necessary.

You could add a trigger to the Submit button that shows a layer with whatever message you want to display. Be sure that trigger comes before the "Submit interaction" trigger. Otherwise, the program will jump to the next slide before it can show the layer.
Also, if you do that, the layer will need a Continue button that hides the layer and then advances to the next slide (like the Continue buttons on a question slide's Correct and Incorrect layers).
If you want the survey data sent to your LMS, you have to insert a Survey Results slide.

Thank you Judy that sounds like a brilliant solution. I will work out how to it. I'm still very new to all this.
