Course in 360 with Confidential information/documents
Thanks Sam - I havent created a online course yet that contents sensitive confidential information - so wanting to know how others have done this. Any ideas/tips.
im thinking i will break the document down into text and images where needed and add a disclaimer at the bottom and only let them complete it once.
The team i am creating for are hesitant to move from old paper version to online as they are saying its not secure. I believe in reality if someone wanted a copy of the paper version they could scan it or photo graph it anyways. .so that isnt really secure either ! I hope that makes sense
Hi Creative2024 you are right that people can copy documents in other formats just as easily as digital if you really want to. Looks like Eric would have addressed some concerns.
Regarding the security of the data on the LMS. Provided access to the content is controlled by authentication of a user account, the data should be secure on the LMS. You should be able to request information on how the data is stored on their servers and how the users authentication works (password security, password encryption).
In terms of how you structure the document in your Storyline file is up to you. You could have a scrolling panel, or split the document between multiple slides. Just try and keep it to as few clicks as possible, and keep it intuitive.
You could also take this opportunity to make the content accessible for users who use assistive technology such as a screen readers. This may be a big advantage for some users.
