Custom Block (Beta)

Do we have any training related videos to watch or articles I can read for this Beta feature? I am so excited to try and explore this with my team.

First impressions it enables creators a lot more freedom to layout content. Lots of prebuilt templates to use and customise. One flaw, cannot add hyperlinks, so the table of contents can't be linked to other lessons. Only found it by accident, they should have added a new popup alert when Rise was opened.

We're so excited that you're digging the new custom block! Currently, we have a user guide article that dives into the nitty gritty, with more training content coming soon. You can also find a link to this article (and a link to the custom block feedback survey) by clicking on the Beta tag at the top of the custom block pane.

Love this new feature and was considering purchasing Maestro until I saw this. There is also an "Interactivity - Coming Soon" button which makes me excited to test this out. During the webinar today, I noticed the presenter also had a custom code beta button on her screen, and I look forward to this feature as well! I am designing a course for high school students, and I need as much interactivity as possible! :)

I've been enjoying the creative freedom I'm getting using custom blocks. Loving it so far! Justa quick question, can we add Alternative Text to the blocks created? And what's it like in terms of accessibility guidelines? Thanks! 😊

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the custom block option!
Currently, you can add alt text in custom blocks by right-clicking on an image, and selecting the alt text option. I'd love to hear if there are specific features that would make using custom blocks more beneficial for you. I'll share those directly with our accessibility and product teams!
