Custom Font Upload Returning Error

Hi all,

When I go to upload a custom front to Rise, it continues to return an error.

I am uploading a .woff file type.

Any hints?

Thanks!

  • HI Abbie! Sorry to hear you're getting an error when uploading a custom font in Rise. Would it be okay for you to share the .woff file?

You can also share it with us privately here, and of our technical support engineers will assist you.

Hi Renee! So sorry to hear that you're getting an error when uploading your custom font. Please remove the punctuation marks by renaming the file. I've renamed it to USBankCircularWebRegular.woff and I was able to successfully upload it to Rise.

        Hope this helps you!

Hi Adrian! Sorry to hear you're having the same issue. I just downloaded your .WOFF file and was able to upload it in Rise.

If you are still having trouble, let's try the following:

      Let's try the following:

      1. Please make sure that your browser is updated. Please check if you are using a supported browser and that your browser is updated. Refer to the links below on how to update your browser:

Once updated, restart your browser and try uploading the .WOFF file again. DId it work?

      2. Try other supported browsers and check if you are still getting the issue. This will check if the issue is browser-specific.

      3. Please access Rise in Incognito or InPrivate window (Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + n. Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n) Sometimes plugins cause odd behavior, Do you still get the same issue when in Incognito?

      4. If the above steps do not work, kindly try clearing your cache to see if it will resolve the issue. Here's how:

Hello, after removing the punctuation marks, I was indeed able to upload my .woff font, but the font doesn't show up in the course.

      Hi Megan,

      Happy to help!

Would you be willing to share a copy of your font file here or in private by opening a support case so we can try and replicate the behavior to get a better idea of what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

  • Hi, Michelle!

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. It was a great idea to try the troubleshooting steps Hazel outlined above. I've opened a support case on your behalf so we can investigate what's going on. You'll be hearing from one of our Support Engineers soon via email!

  • Thanks for your help, Kelly, but I resolved it today. I had a person send me a Rise with the custom font, so now it is available for me! Nice work around.

  • Hi Michelle,

That's great to hear. Thanks for updating this discussion with what worked for you! If you run into any trouble moving forward, please feel free to reach out here or in a support case!
