Disabling the Next Button Player Until the Current Slide is Completed

Hello,  Currently I'm using the player next and previous course navigation. 
It's possible for a learner to move to the next slide before the slide has completed or very quickly after it starts. I would like the slide to complete or enable the next button at a certain point in the timeline before the learner can move to the next slide. I'm open to different methods for achieving something like this.  Any thoughts? Thanks
