Do you know how to adjust speed of audio created by "Text to Speech"?
I am creating e-Learning course with Articulate Storyline, also I use "Text to Speech " fanction to create audio.
My boss asked me that it could be slow down the audio speed.
But I cannot find speed controler.
Can I change the speed of audio? If someone knows, please advise me.
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we’ve included important fixes and new features!
One enhanced feature we’ve included:
Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here!

I rememember selecting the playback speed in the past from somewhere inside storyline? Is this something that gets selected once and can not be adjusted ?
Hi Philip!
You can adjust the playback speed of your videos by hovering over the playback speed icon to choose any speed between 0.25x and 2x. Please let me know if you have additional questions! I'll be happy to help.

Hi all, adding feedback from a global corporation too: it needs to be possible to slow the voice over down. Adding pauses is not helping... There are even special cases we had the text-to-speech voicing "comma" and other punctuation. But it's getting better and we adopted "Mathew" as one of the team, as he sometimes even sounds human :) Hope this will move up on the roadmap.
Hi Barbora,
I appreciate you taking the time to share what you’d like to see in Storyline 360 and I'll be sure to share your comments with my team!
Hi there Tzipora,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I've included your voice in this feature request. We'll be sure to update this thread in the future with any news or updates.
Hope that you have a great day and happy developing! ✨

Yes, pleas add: the ability to control text-to-speech speed. I received a request today from a couple of people asking is there a way if there is a voiceover can they control the speed? While their listening to the education?

Export audio to adobe premiere pro then adjust speed in that and reimport to articulate.
I agree this needs speed control. Pauses are not good enough. Even captivate can do this. https://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblog/2015/03/adobe-captivate-slow-down-your-speech-agent.html
Hi James!
Thanks for reaching out and sharing that tip!
I've also included you in the open feature request: More editing tools for Text-to-Speech. We'll update this discussion as soon as we have news to share.
