Does Articulate have any plans to make a Mac OS compatible version of Storyline?
Or any other products?

I just looked into purchasing Storyline. The software looks awesome. I made the decision to purchase and then saw that there is no mac version, so I will be looking else where. I wonder if Articulate is really aware of how 'big' (or small in their eyes) the apple market is?? There are tons of 'creators' who are are mac users... and I don't believe Articulate know how many people are turning away from not purchasing when they see there is no apple version. Not everybody tells you why they don't buy... We just walk away and move on...

It is obvious that there are issues with running Parallels. There is no way my company will support this kind of solution.
Sorry Articulate I will be testing Adobe Capture 2019 very soon, if you have a change of heart please post it here.

Another vote here for a native Mac app. Our Instructional Design Team all use Storyline on Parallels. I have been an articulate user since 2010 and I much prefer the products over others. However, all of our other development products are on Mac, Storyline is the only reason we even have Parallels installed. We have recently started having issues with our Parallels installs in general, not specifically Articulate products, which has hindered our use of Storyline. It would be much less problematic for us to have Storyline natively. I would also not be opposed to having Presenter add-in for PPT 2016 for Mac, since we are here talking about Mac apps.

Articulate needs to provide a clear answer if they will ever do this. Not some generic CS reply. This has a tremendous impact on our workflow and ability to collectively create content.
Just create a PowerPoint plug in!
Help us use your software efficiently.

Hi, Taylor.
Ashley's initial response is still accurate. There isn't a native Mac version of Storyline on our roadmap.
Please let us know if we can help you use Rise or if you need a hand configuring Storyline to run on your Mac!

Hi Patricia, thanks for the info, I am truly amazed they haven't ported it to the Mac. It doesn't make sense not to, I would love to talk to those who make these decisions, that they may regret.

I agree totally. Obviously they have to weigh the ROI, but most enterprise software is developed for more than one platform. At some point, this is the beginning of the end if they don't modernize.

I think that the team at Articulate are deaf to these requests. At the
moment I use their product on an old PC and do all my other elearning work
on a Mac. I do so because two clients want Storyline output but it's a pain
fitting it in to my work processes. However if my clients change their mind
I will definitely be giving up my very expensive Articulate 360 licence.
Such a shame when nearly every other product I use has both Mac and PC
options.Lilian

IBM has went to MACs. You know, small company of 500,000 employees. Recently, I tried to get a group on Articulate and it all fell through when they realized that on top of the license, they had to add the cost of Fusion and Windows. A few tried the trial license, but had so much trouble getting it all setup that they went back to other products that do far less, but were far easier on the budget and time spent setting it all up. Not sure what the cost would be to do this, but I know a development group based in Kansas that is far cheaper than off-shoring development. Just something to consider!

Viewing courses on MAC is not the issue BUILDING is. You are sadly limiting people's ability to use the platform that they want and causing them an additional fee and pain of running vm ware or parallels. My mac was never the same after installing parallels and windows with its continuous updates....please stop being so stubborn and keep up with the competition.

Hi Leslie
The problem is not the viewing, it is the design and development, or as Susan Jones quite rightly says the 'building'.
I agree with Susan below, you need to keep up with the ever changing training technology world. I am not a great lover of Apple, but their iPad and apple classroom setup is gaining a lot of pace. In adult further education, industry and military training centers they are moving to this type of setup method, because it is easy to setup, control and design and develop for. I have been in the military and industry training for many years and I'm sure many will back me here when I say that things are starting to move in Apples direction.
I have written directly to Articulate help about support for the iMac, but I again ask you to do the same. We want to keep using your product, it is good with great support. All it needs is being ported to the Mac, not a quick thing I know but why risk losing all this business because once we move to another platform I'm sorry to say we will not be back.
I look forward to your reply.
Kindest Regards Adam

Please consider providing a MAC version. My very large company, with a huge requirement for elearning is moving a lot of design and development to the MAC.
iPads are a lot better for education for many reasons. iBooks Author is starting to take off with Apple classroom and so we will move to MACs very soon. If Articulate storyline doesn't support the MAC we will jump ship and be forced to use your competitors programs.
Hope you can understand times are changing in the classroom and I feel you should provide the flexibility to the Apple platform.

If we can't get a MAC version, at the very least, you can surely develop a Powerpoint plugin that either works online or for MAC. It doesn't have to be the full robustness, but the asset library, various screen capture modes such as "demo", and additional interactive instructional design elements are huge.
The user experience is so frustrating. You should offer at the very least a RISE only pay option. It is hard to justify to a company that we are going to be able to leverage 20% of the tool unless we either buying a 1-2K PC for each team member, on top of their mac; or pay for some hack job workaround.
I truly have never had to purchase some much additional software and services to run a suite of products.
