Does Sorting Activity in Rise 360 work with screen readers?
Hello, it's great that the sorting activity in Rise 360 works with keyboard only for accessibility. I don't seem to be able to get the sorting activity to work with NVDA screen reader. Is this something that is known and in the roadmap, or can you tell me how this works?

Checking if there is an update on this. Adding a vote to have this prioritized- this would be a great activity block/interaction to have, but is currently unusable without full screen-reader support or meeting accessibility standards.

This must be a design flaw rather than a bug, a mistake in code, otherwise it would have been a quick fix. Treating these things as bugs means doing nothing for four years (four years!) which makes it look like Articulate's ok with designing discrimination into their product. I do believe Articulate's not ok with that, but really needs to prove it by just getting on and properly redesigning these interactions that aren't accessible. Maybe a different internal route is required to cover unacceptable usability/accessibility design so these things aren't treated alongside genuine bugs.

We have the same issues because we adhere to accessibility standards. Would love to use this interaction, but cannot because it is not accessible. Adding a vote to have this prioritized.

We've been asking for 4 years now... thinking that it really isn't a priority.

Would love to see accessibility prioritized in the bug fixes. I have been removing this activity from all of our older courses.
Hi DonnaBoucher-fe,
Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear how this bug affects your workflow.
I added your voice to the bug report to help our product team prioritize, and we'll inform you if there are any changes that might help.

Hi All,
Thanks for asking the question everyone and for keeping us updated. I'm finding an ever increasing emphasis on inclusion and diversity, so it's increasingly important to be able to use this block. It's a fun block and learners respond well to it, however I avoid using it as it doesn't meet requirements.
Looking forward to a resolution soon, otherwise might have to look at other dev solutions. Fingers crossed.

Jumping in here as well, since it's been eight months. Anything new on this?
Hi Molly!
Thanks for checking in on this!
I don't have any updates to share as our development team has been prioritizing other fixes. Not to worry! I've included you in the bug report and will update this discussion as soon as we have news to share.
For your reference, here's a deeper look at how we tackle bugs.

Is there an update to this issue? It’s been several months. Many desirable activities are not accessible because they don’t work with screen readers. When testing the card sort with NVDA, the grey cards where we sort the terms to do NOT announce what we’ve titled them. They read as “blank.” This is pretty disappointing.
Hi Courtney! I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering issues with your course. We don't have any news yet regarding this. We'll update this thread as soon as new information is available.
