Am I able to download Storyline to use during the free trial period?
Could you please provide more information about this? I see no button anywhere on the screen, let alone "above on the right side of the screen".

First, you'll want to navigate to 360.articulate.com and log in. On the right-hand side of the screen, look for the button that says, "Download Desktop app." Here is a screenshot of the webpage, with the button highlighted in yellow:
