Downloading Published Rise LMS Content

Is it me or has the way an admin downloads published Rise courses changed?

I'm sure I used to click the publish button and a SCORM package would automatically download into my 'Downloads' folder (as well as an email getting generated).

Now I have to go to the email and click 'Download Content', it opens a browser with another 'Download Content' button, and I have to click that, often loads of times for it to fire the download process to start.

  • Hi HVfb0f498d-053b

Happy to help! Your SCORM package should automatically download as well as be accessible via the email that is generated when you have published the course.

What browser are you currently using? I'm curious if you've had any updates recently to the browser or computer.

Do you experience this same behavior if you publish via a different browser?

I'd suggest checking if you have automatic downloads blocked within your browser as a troubleshooting step.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Thanks for replying. Its the same in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Now you mention it, our IT department have rolled out something from Menlo Security in the last few weeks, so it could well be that. Its just odd that the manual clicking of the Content Download button is very temperamental, it does work but its hit and miss.

      Hi HVfb0f498d-053b

Thank you for the update. I would recommend reaching out to your IT department to check if these new security measures are impacting what can be downloaded on your computer. I can confirm that we haven't made any changes on our end that would've modified how content is downloaded from Rise 360.

I'll open this discussion up to other folks in the community in case they have a similar setup with Menlo Security.

      Have a great weekend!

  • Our IT dept have confirmed that all downloaded zips get processed in the background by the security software, so I'll have to just be more patient. Its annoying there is no progress indicator to tell me what's happening.
