Drag & Drop multiple icons into multiple drop zones

I have a file driving me crazy. I have setup icons to drag and drop into zones next to text. There are 2 icons stacked up multiple times on each other, so when you drag one off, another is...
There is potentially another way where you fake having multiple icons and change the state of the target to look like what was dropped on it. I'll mock up an idea.
