Duplicating Player Resources Across Projects

I'm building multiple Storyline projects as SCORM-exported lessons incorporated into a single course. Because they are so tightly linked, I would like to have the same set of resources associated with each of these projects. Is there a way to copy the player resources from one project to another?

  • Hello Jay2024! Since the Resources are saved to the project file, you'll need to work from a file with the resources linked. I'd recommend creating a new Storyline course with the resources and then duplicating the file when you need to create a new project with the same resources.

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Thanks for the reply, Lauren. Just to be sure I understand this, you're suggesting I create a project with the embedded resources, then use that same project file as a form of template for all other projects that require the same resources. Is that correct?

Thanks for the reply, Lauren! Just to be sure I understand completely, you're recommending that I create a project with the embedded resources for the first lesson, then use that same project file as a form of template for any other lessons that reference those same resources. Is that correct?

    • Hi Jay2024,
Yes, that is correct! The resources will be available in the duplicated file so you can designate one Storyline 360 .story project file as a container for all of your resources and then duplicate it as needed.
