E-Learning Completion Tracking

I am curious if anyone has had experience with tracking completion for an E-Learning module outside an LMS? We plan to launch our LMS later this year, but in the meantime would like to see...
Hi Julie! While tracking is only built into the LMS output, there are a few recent ideas about using Google Analytics in this discussion.
I like your survey idea, and I've seen other tools that allow for anonymous feedback like Google Forms and Survey Monkey.
You could also consider using a mailto: option in your course text with hyperlinks. Folks can self-report completion at the end of the course with a quick email.
