Editing Storyline that's saved in Review

Hi,

I need to edit a Storyline project that I have saved in the cloud, I can see it in review 360 but and I'm using the same computer I created it on originally, but I guess I only saved the project in the cloud and not onto my computer. I cannot seem to figure out how I can go make the edits to this project now? It doesn't show up in the "recent" section when I open the Storyline desktop (its been a 3-5 months)Why is it so complicated!?

Articulate Storyline is a client application, running on your local machine. It allows you to create and edit files with the .story extension, which are stored locally (on your C or D drive, in My Documents\My Articulate Projects).

Storyline creates an output package which is viewable in a web browser, via the Review 360 web app, a hosted website, or your learning management system.

You could not have edited and saved a working .story file to the cloud without first saving it locally to your machine, in the folder structure listed above. I'd suggest deep-searching your machine to find the .story file.

  • And if it's not there? Is there some other way to access it? I've only created two things in storyline so far, with this computer, but it is not showing up in the MY Articulate Projects folder.

      Hello,

If you enabled the Cloud Backup option for your Storyline 360 course when you published it to Review 360, you should see a "Download Project File" button when you click on the Version drop-down list in the upper left corner of the screen.

Please note that publishing to Review 360 is not the same as enabling the Cloud Backup option. The Cloud Backup option needs to be enabled when you publish your course to make the file downloadable from Review 360.

Let me know if you have any questions!
