Embedded links aren't working through 'shared' url viewing after transferring course ownership

Hi,

I've transferred ownership of the course. The new owner clicked on 'share' and opened the new (rise...) url to experience the course. When they test out an embedded link in the course thats takes them to a url, it no longer works - however, the same embedded link still works if they view the course through 'preview.' 

 

Is this a settings issue? Do links not transfer with the course?
